Meet Joseph P. Lucia

As president of Lucia Capital Group, Joe P. Lucia is responsible for the ultimate satisfaction of the firm’s financial planning and investment management clients. As the head of Lucia Wealth Services, Lucia Capital Group’s investment advisory arm, Joe manages the firm’s advisors focused on executing The Bucket Strategy® for their clients’ portfolios and delivering proactive, comprehensive client service. Joe is also responsible for advisor training, advisor recruiting, and the firm’s sales administration. As an experienced member of the executive management team, Joe is a key contributor to the overall strategic business direction of Lucia Capital Group.

Prior to becoming president in 2013, Joe achieved success as a financial advisor at Lucia Capital Group, providing wealth advice to some of the largest clients at the firm. Joe also has more than 15 years of sales and sales management experience, having spent the earlier part of his career as the owner and operator of a national import/wholesale company that successfully distributed goods across the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada.

Joe graduated from Pepperdine University in 1997 with a B.S. in business administration and holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses as well as a California insurance license (#0E80645).

Joe and his family are active parishioners of St. Michael’s Church, where his grandparents were founding members. Joe is a member of the Pepperdine Alumni Association and enjoys giving back to the community through various charitable foundations.

He and his wife, Erica, manage three very active children: two sons and a daughter. The family, along with their dog, Vegas, enjoys busy weekends together cheering at sporting events.
